Who are we?
OpenIP was founded in 2006 when Andrew Starr and Kalpesh Modha joined forces. The business has grown from strength to strength and now has bases in Bolton (Head Office), Leicester and Newcastle. The client base has grown from not only UK based customers but a worldwide base has now been established in countries such France, Germany, China and the USA.
In 2009, OpenIP acquired the MGIE Group, who specialise in Data and Fibre Cabling and security systems such as CCTV, Alarms and Fire. 2010 has also proven to be a year of growth for OpenIP after diversifying and creating the online store Hardware Saints, who stock a huge range of IT and Telecoms Hardware at trade prices giving customers great value for money. The ethics and values of OpenIP have inspired all parts of the business and ensure that the 2011 will see the group grow from strength to strength.

Andrew Starr - Managing Director
With around 20 years experience in the IT industry, past employment before starting OpenIP has included working for the largest kitchen and bathroom distributor in Europe as an IT Manager, working for Chess Telecom designing broadband networks for ISP's and has managed IT projects for large companies.
Kalpesh Modha - Technical Director
Work experience has included working for Lister's as a Developer and has worked across Europe for several companies in the IT industry which has spanned across twenty-one years. Working in IT projects across Europe has given lots of experience in Microsoft Server projects.
The accounts team at OpenIP are responsible for the day to day running of the business. They deal with sales and purchase ledgers, billing, itemisation and payments. They also do a very good job of keeping the rest of employees in check on a daily basis, which is definitely needed.
The engineers on the Helpdesk deal with all the IT and communications queries and support for all the customers, no matter how big or small they may be. All members of the team are constantly re-trained so that the best possible advice and solutions can be given.
The advantage of having bases across the country means that if there is a problem that needs to be fixed on site, there will be an engineer who can get to site as quickly as possible.
The sales team are highly trained in providing the best solutions for your needs and at cost efficient prices. From telephone systems, to WAN solutions and web development - there is somebody you can get the best advice from and talk to. If a meeting to discuss requirements is required, one of our sales team will be happy to arrange a time that is convenient to you.
